Saturday 18th May: The Songs of The Incredible String Band

Polly will be making a solo appearance at the Green Note on Saturday 18th May, as part of a special event in which a range of acts will perform songs by the Incredible String Band to mark the launch of the 2013 edition of 'Be Glad: an Incredible String Band Compendium'. (New, revised, tenth-anniversary edition of this acclaimed book, edited by Adrian Whittaker.) On the bill will be Malcolm Le Maistre, Norman Lamont, Jowe Head and the Demi-Monde, Joe Murphy (from Sergeant Buzfuz); and others to be confirmed. Copies of the book will be on sale at a reduced price on the day. Tickets are £8 in advance from WeGotTickets. Green Note, 106 Parkway, Camden, London NW1 7AN. Saturday 18th May, 2-5pm.

Our first gig of 2013 - and our first gig in ages - will be a Dogfishtrombone night at Milfords, London WC2. Also on the bill will be Sister Mercedes, Chris Macorkindale and Hungry Dog Brand. Upstairs at Milfords, 1 Milford Lane, London WC2R 3LL (off the Strand). Friday 8th March - doors 7.30pm; Slate Islands on around 10pm. £5 entry.
Monday 20th May: Under The Influence of Eurovision

We're big fans of the monthly Under The Influence nights at The Boogaloo, so we're delighted to have been given the chance to guest host the night on May 20th. The theme will be Eurovision, with each act playing two of their own songs plus one Eurovision number. Updates to follow concerning which other acts will be playing. We'll be playing a full-length set. Support act will be the wonderful Jo Quail.
